With a week-long campaign called “Shiksha Saptah,” meant to revive the education sector, the Ministry of Education is honouring the 4th anniversary of the National Education Policy 2020. With the Vidyanjali and Tithi Bhojan projects, which signal a major turning point in the application of the policy, the seventh day of the campaign centres on community participation in education.
Launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on September 7, 2021, Vidyanjali is a school volunteer management initiative aimed at improving the quality of education by means of community, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and private sector participation. The main goals of the program are to improve educational environments by means of local volunteers’ support and enhance schools, therefore fostering a strong ecology for teachers and students.
