In a significant step towards ensuring clean and uninterrupted water supply in Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated a Booster Pumping Station in the Rajinder Nagar assembly constituency on Tuesday. The new facility aims to address water supply issues and provide clean drinking water to local residents.

A Milestone for Rajinder Nagar

Following the inauguration, Kejriwal, accompanied by Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, visited homes in the DDA flats of Pandav Nagar to personally verify the water quality. Demonstrating confidence in the new system, both leaders drank water directly from household taps. This move symbolized AAP’s commitment to delivering on its promise of clean and safe drinking water for all.

Addressing a gathering after the event, Kejriwal said, “It has always been our dream to ensure that every household in Delhi receives clean drinking water 24 hours a day. Today, we are turning this dream into reality in the Rajinder Nagar assembly constituency. I visited some homes and personally drank water straight from the tap. It was clean and safe, proving that our efforts are bearing fruit.”

Beginning of a “Water Revolution”

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi lauded the initiative as a transformative moment in the city’s infrastructure development. “A water revolution has begun in India, starting from Delhi. With this project, residents of DDA flats in Pandav Nagar will now enjoy a 24×7 supply of clean and fresh water,” Atishi stated.

Vision for Delhi

The Booster Pumping Station is part of a broader plan by the AAP government to address the capital’s water challenges. The initiative seeks to ensure an uninterrupted supply of clean water to every household, reducing dependence on tankers and bottled water. Kejriwal emphasized that similar projects would soon be rolled out across the city, benefiting all residents.

Significance of the Project

The project represents a major leap towards achieving sustainable water management in Delhi. It not only promises a continuous supply of potable water but also reduces the burden on residents who often face disruptions and rely on alternative sources.

Community Impact

Residents of the Rajinder Nagar constituency welcomed the development, expressing optimism about the improved water quality and convenience. The project underscores AAP’s focus on delivering basic necessities like water, which significantly impact the daily lives of citizens.

Conclusion

The inauguration of the Booster Pumping Station in Rajinder Nagar marks a new chapter in Delhi’s efforts to modernize its water infrastructure. With AAP’s commitment to providing clean and accessible drinking water across the city, Delhi is setting a benchmark for urban water management in India.
