Three Arrested in Armed Robbery Case by Delhi Police, Country-Made Pistol and Fake Number Plate Recovered
New Delhi, April 13, 2025:
In a significant breakthrough, the Delhi Police team from Swaroop Nagar Police Station has arrested three individuals involved in an armed robbery case. The arrests were made following a swift and strategic investigation aided by CCTV footage and inter-state coordination.
According to the police, the incident took place when a truck driver was intercepted by one of the accused, who knocked on the window of the vehicle. As the unsuspecting driver rolled it down, he was held at gunpoint. The primary accused then summoned his accomplices from a nearby vehicle, and the trio executed a coordinated robbery, fleeing the scene with valuables.
A detailed analysis of surveillance footage led the investigating team to trace the culprits to Pilkhuwa in Hapur district, Uttar Pradesh. Acting on this lead, the police conducted a targeted raid and successfully apprehended all three accused.
During the operation, authorities recovered a country-made pistol, four live cartridges, two ECM devices, and a car with a fake number plate used in the crime. The seizure of these items highlights the organized nature of the crime and the suspects’ attempts to evade identification.
A senior police official stated, “The team acted promptly based on intelligence and evidence. Such acts of violence and disruption will not be tolerated. The recovered weapons and fake vehicle documents are being sent for further forensic analysis.”
The Delhi Police emphasized its commitment to maintaining law and order and assured that such criminals would be dealt with strictly under the law.
Further investigation is ongoing to determine if the accused are linked to other criminal cases in the region.
