Jaipur/Gwalior, June 13, 2025: Health officials in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh have reported a limited increase in COVID-19 cases, leading authorities to enhance precautionary steps and keep a close watch on developments.
In Rajasthan, state health representatives shared that between 30 to 35 new infections are being identified each day. Medical teams have confirmed one recent fatality; however, the individual had pre-existing health issues, including tuberculosis. The health department emphasized that the current case numbers are not alarming and that ample stocks of medicines are available across hospitals.
A senior official from the Rajasthan Health and Family Welfare Department stated, “Although we are seeing a small number of daily infections, the overall condition is stable. Necessary supplies are in place, and our response teams are alert.”
In Madhya Pradesh, specifically in Gwalior, Gajra Raja Medical College has recorded several positive cases of COVID-19 among its healthcare workers. A few junior doctors have tested positive, but hospital authorities clarified that all cases are mild and the affected individuals are under observation.
Dr. R.K.S. Dhakad, the college dean, noted that preventive steps have already been taken and new safety protocols are being followed within the institution to contain the spread.
Officials from both states have reiterated that while the increase in cases is being tracked seriously, the situation does not indicate any widespread outbreak. The public has been advised to maintain standard safety practices, such as using masks in crowded areas and staying home if symptomatic.
Both Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh continue to work toward proactive containment while maintaining transparency about case numbers and health infrastructure readiness.
