New Delhi, July 17, 2025 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Bihar and West Bengal on July 18, marking a pivotal moment in the government’s ongoing mission to enhance infrastructure, boost innovation, and improve connectivity in India’s eastern corridor.

The visit will commence in Motihari, Bihar, where PM Modi will participate in a major public event around 11:30 AM. During the program, he will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay foundation stones for a wide range of development projects totaling more than ₹7,200 crore. These initiatives are expected to strengthen key sectors and accelerate socio-economic progress in the state.

A key highlight of the Bihar leg of the visit will be the inauguration of a new Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) center in Darbhanga, along with a state-of-the-art STPI incubation facility in Patna. These steps reflect the Centre’s growing emphasis on promoting technological advancement and startup culture in Tier-II and Tier-III cities.

In addition, the Prime Minister will flag off four new Amrit Bharat trains, which aim to improve rail infrastructure and enhance travel experience for passengers in the region.

Following the Bihar events, PM Modi will proceed to Durgapur, West Bengal, where another major ceremony is planned for 3:00 PM. At this gathering, he will launch and dedicate multiple development works with a combined worth of over ₹5,000 crore. These include major infrastructure and public welfare projects that are designed to uplift the economic and social conditions of the state.

This comprehensive visit highlights the government’s unwavering focus on balanced regional growth and the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India). The newly launched initiatives are aimed at generating employment, attracting investment, and laying the groundwork for long-term growth, particularly in the fields of technology, transport, and public infrastructure.

Citizens in both states are eagerly looking forward to PM Modi’s visit, which promises to usher in a new era of development, progress, and opportunity.
