Raipur, August 7, 2025 — In a continued effort to strengthen the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, the Ministry of MSME is set to organize a regional workshop in Raipur, Chhattisgarh on August 8, 2025. The event will center around the dual themes of improving the ease of doing business and ensuring timely payments to MSMEs.

Titled “Promoting Ease of Doing Business and Ensuring Timely Payments to MSME”, the workshop aims to bring together key stakeholders, policy experts, and entrepreneurs to discuss reforms and solutions that can drive sustainable growth in the MSME ecosystem.

A major focus of the workshop will be on simplifying tax procedures and ensuring regulatory compliance, which are critical challenges faced by small enterprises across the country. Additionally, the session will emphasize promoting punctual payments to MSMEs—an issue that continues to hinder their financial stability.

One of the core components of the discussion will be strengthening the dispute resolution mechanism as mandated under the MSMED Act, 2006. Timely redressal of payment-related disputes is expected to enhance trust and operational efficiency within the sector.

Officials from the Ministry, along with local administrators and industry leaders, are expected to attend the event and share insights on best practices, policy implementation, and support mechanisms for entrepreneurs.

The workshop aligns with the government’s broader agenda of empowering MSMEs by reducing compliance burdens and creating a more transparent, responsive business environment.

As MSMEs remain the backbone of India’s economy—contributing significantly to employment and GDP—initiatives like this workshop play a vital role in equipping them with the tools and policies needed for long-term resilience and success.
