In a swift and commendable operation, Dewas Police rescued three abducted minors within just 24 hours and reunited them safely with their families. The rescue was part of Operation Muskaan, an ongoing initiative aimed at locating and returning missing children to their loved ones.

The operation was carried out by the Khategaon Police Station team, which also apprehended the accused involved in luring away the children. Police officials confirmed that the suspect had been arrested and legal proceedings were underway.

According to official records, in 2025 alone, Dewas Police has successfully located and reunited a total of 197 missing minors—both boys and girls—with their families. This consistent success has brought smiles and relief to numerous households across the district.

SP Puneet Gehlot emphasized the department’s dual focus:

“Dewas Police is not only dedicated to rescuing and reuniting missing minors with their families but is also actively arresting and sending behind bars those criminals who lure and abduct children.”

Operation Muskaan continues to serve as a beacon of hope for families of missing children, reinforcing the Dewas Police’s commitment to safety, swift action, and justice.
