Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has once again emphasized that Moscow has no genuine interest in peace negotiations, pointing to Russia’s worsening economic conditions as evidence of its ongoing refusal to pursue a ceasefire.

Speaking after recent strikes, Zelenskyy highlighted the significance of Ukraine’s long-range capabilities in countering aggression. He stressed that President Vladimir Putin’s unwillingness to engage in dialogue has led to fuel shortages and deepening economic troubles within Russia—an outcome he described as the natural consequence of rejecting peace.

The Ukrainian leader also welcomed the broad international response to the latest wave of attacks, noting that Russia’s increasingly bold strikes are designed to test global resolve. According to Zelenskyy, these actions are intended to see if the international community will accept or tolerate such escalations.

“This is a clear attempt by Putin to inflict maximum pain on Ukraine while gauging the world’s reaction,” Zelenskyy stated. He underscored the importance of continued unity among Ukraine’s partners, insisting that collective strength is vital to counter Moscow’s strategy and safeguard peace in Europe.

As the conflict intensifies, Zelenskyy’s remarks serve as both a warning and a call to action—reminding allies that the fight is not only about Ukraine’s survival, but also about resisting Russia’s challenge to the global order.
