Macron Speaks with UAE President on Middle East Strikes, Urges Ceasefire and Two-State Solution

French President Emmanuel Macron has held talks with United Arab Emirates President Mohamed bin Zayed following Israeli strikes on Doha, emphasizing the urgent need for regional stability and renewed diplomatic efforts.
Macron stressed that respect for the sovereignty of states is a fundamental principle for peace and security in the Middle East. He reaffirmed France’s longstanding support for a two-state solution as the only viable path to resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
During the conversation, the French President highlighted the pressing need to reach an agreement that would secure the release of all hostages while enabling an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Such a truce, he said, is essential to ensure that humanitarian aid can flow to Palestinians in urgent need.
“The war must come to an end,” Macron warned, adding that each passing day further increases the risk of destabilizing the broader region.
France has repeatedly called for de-escalation and humanitarian access in Gaza, while also working closely with regional partners, including the UAE, to push for diplomatic solutions. Macron’s latest appeal reflects growing international concern that the ongoing conflict threatens not only the lives of civilians but also the fragile balance of stability across the Middle East.
