Zelenskyy Honors First Ladies of Finland and Estonia, First Gentleman of Denmark at Kyiv Summit

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has recognized the unwavering support of Denmark, Finland, and Estonia for Ukraine during its ongoing war with Russia, presenting state awards to their representatives at the Fifth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen in Kyiv.
The awards were given to the First Ladies of Finland and Estonia and to the First Gentleman of Denmark, whom Zelenskyy described as “true friends who stand alongside our people.” Their presence in Ukraine, he said, symbolizes not only solidarity but also deep trust and enduring partnership between nations.
“Denmark, Finland, and Estonia are countries whose people and governments have supported Ukraine since the very first days of the full-scale war,” Zelenskyy emphasized. He noted that the gesture of honoring their spouses reflects the broader appreciation Ukraine holds for the governments and citizens of these nations.
The Fifth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, hosted in Kyiv, focused on international cooperation, humanitarian aid, and strategies to support civilians affected by the war. The gathering brought together partners and allies to discuss how best to mobilize global efforts for recovery and resilience in Ukraine.
Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for the continued attention and assistance Ukraine receives, particularly from close European neighbors. “We are grateful for the attention to our nation and for the support we feel and sincerely value,” he said.
The recognition of Denmark, Finland, and Estonia comes at a time when Ukraine is seeking to reinforce ties with its strongest allies, ensuring that humanitarian and political backing remains steady as the conflict with Russia continues.
