The Ministry of Culture has extended the e-auction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mementos, now open for participation until 31st October 2024. Originally set to end on 2nd October, this unique auction showcases a diverse range of culturally significant items that reflect India’s rich heritage.
The auction features traditional art forms, including paintings, sculptures, and handicrafts such as Khadi shawls, Silver Filigree, Gond Art, and Madhubani Art. Ceremonial items like angavastras, headgear, and swords are also available. A notable inclusion is the sports memorabilia from the 2024 Paralympics, celebrating the athletes’ inspiring achievements.
This marks the sixth edition of the e-auction, which began in January 2019. Proceeds from the event will support the Namami Gange Project, dedicated to conserving the Ganga River and its ecosystem.
