Swami Jairam Das Ji Maharaj’s Unwavering Resolution Following Statue Theft at Gau Ghat Ashram

After the theft of an Ashtadhatu statue of Radha-Krishna from the temple at Gau Ghat Ashram, Swami Jairam Das Ji Maharaj has taken a unique vow. He has refused to consume water and fruit until the statue is recovered, spending his nights in meditation and prayer to maintain his faith during this crisis.

On Monday, thieves broke into the temple at Gau Ghat Ashram, stealing the ancient Ashtadhatu statue. This theft has caused significant distress among Swami Jairam Das Ji Maharaj and the local devotees. When Swami Jairam Das Ji Maharaj arrived to offer water to the statue, he learned of the theft. Deeply saddened by the incident, he stated, “I will not accept anything until the statue is returned.”

The police immediately launched an investigation into the incident. Senior officials arrived at the scene to assess the situation, but no leads on the statue’s whereabouts have emerged. The police have also reviewed CCTV footage, which showed that the thieves disabled the cameras before executing the theft.

In addition to the local police, teams from the Special Operations Group (SOG) and the Crime Branch are actively searching for the culprits. Swami Jairam Das Ji Maharaj expressed, “My devotion to God has only strengthened during this crisis. I will remain steadfast in my vow.”

Following this incident, the devotees at the ashram have also been praying for the swift recovery of the statue. The police have stated that they are making every possible effort to apprehend the thieves. There is hope that this case will be resolved soon and that the stolen statue will be returned.
