Dahod Holds ‘Tehsil Swagat’ Programme to Address Public Grievances and Improve Accountability
DAHOD, GUJARAT — The Dahod district administration organised a Tehsil Swagat public grievance redressal programme at the District Magistrate’s office, providing residents with an opportunity to raise local issues directly before officials.

The session was chaired by District Superintendent of Police Raviraj Singh Jadeja, who listened to complaints from residents and reviewed the concerns with the relevant departmental authorities.
Residents Raise Rural and Urban Issues
The grievances covered several aspects of local administration and public services. Residents raised concerns related to Gram Sabha administrative divisions, road connectivity and rural infrastructure, along with sanitation problems in municipal areas.
During the programme, Jadeja issued directions to the concerned officials to examine the complaints and take appropriate action towards their resolution. The initiative focused on addressing citizens’ concerns through direct communication between the public and the administration.
Participants welcomed the opportunity to present their problems before senior officials. The programme also highlighted the importance of community participation in rural development and encouraged residents to contribute to improving their local areas.
Officials from Multiple Departments Participate
The meeting brought together representatives from the police, revenue administration, municipal services and rural development departments. Among those present were Deputy Superintendent of Police Jagdish Bhandari, Dahod Mamlatdar-Tehsildar Pradeep Singh Gohil, Municipal Chief Officer Deep Singh Hathila, Police Inspectors D.M. Dhol and S.S. Varu, and Tehsil Development Officer Rathwa.
The participation of officials from different departments was intended to improve coordination and help address complaints requiring action from multiple authorities.
Focus on Transparent and Responsive Administration
The Tehsil Swagat programme reflects an administrative approach that places public grievances and direct citizen engagement at the centre of local governance. By bringing residents and decision-makers together, the initiative aims to make complaint handling more accessible and improve coordination in the delivery of public services.
The effectiveness of the programme will ultimately depend on the timely follow-up of complaints, coordination between departments and the completion of corrective measures.
