JAMTARA, JHARKHAND: Police in Jharkhand’s Jamtara district are investigating the deaths of a young man and woman whose bodies were discovered near a railway track, an incident that has raised serious questions about the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

The deceased were identified as Rocky Kumar Mandal, 20, and Nazia Khatoon, reported to be 17 or 18 in different news accounts. Both were residents of Ringochingo village in the Karmatand police station area.

According to police information reported by Indian media, railway personnel discovered the bodies between Vidyasagar and Madankata railway stations on Saturday morning, October 24. The discovery prompted a police response and an investigation into the events that preceded the deaths.
