Kamala Harris Leads Donald Trump in First-Ever Poll of South Asian Voters in Key U.S. Battleground States
In a groundbreaking poll of South Asian voters in critical U.S. battleground states, Vice President Kamala Harris has emerged as the preferred candidate, leading significantly over Republican contender and former President Donald Trump. Commissioned by the Indian American Impact Fund and conducted by GBAO, the survey gathered opinions from 600 likely South Asian voters in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.
The results reveal that South Asian voters, particularly Indian Americans, are highly motivated to support Harris, citing her alignment with their top policy priorities. The survey suggests that this crucial voting bloc could tip the scales in the upcoming election. “Harris resonates deeply with our community, not just because of her Indian heritage but due to her stance on various issues,” said Chintan Patel, executive director of the Indian American Impact Fund.
As South Asians are poised to play a decisive role in swing states, Harris’s widespread popularity signals a strong influence on the outcome of the Presidential race.
