Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Varanasi Airport at 1:35 PM on Sunday, where he was welcomed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel. This visit is set to feature the inauguration of several significant projects, including the Shankar Eye Hospital.

After inaugurating the Shankar Eye Hospital, Modi will proceed to Sigrar Stadium, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation for various projects worth a total of ₹6611 crores across five states. As Modi travels along his route, party workers lined up on both sides of the road are showering him with flowers, blowing conch shells, and playing drums to celebrate his arrival.

Ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit, police forces were deployed outside the Congress office. Congress party members had issued a warning to meet the PM, and when they attempted to do so, police intervened to prevent them from proceeding. This situation highlights the heightened political atmosphere and ongoing competition among various parties.

Modi’s visit to Varanasi is significant not only for local development but also for showcasing the central government’s initiatives. He is scheduled to leave Varanasi at around 7 PM, but the impact of this visit will be felt in the local community and the political landscape for a long time.

During this occasion, PM Modi reiterated his commitment to enhancing the pace of local development and providing better healthcare facilities, signaling a positive move for the region.
