In a high-stakes weekend before Election Day, Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris is making a strategic stop in Michigan, while her Republican opponent, Donald Trump, is targeting three pivotal eastern states. Both campaigns are aggressively working to win over undecided voters in an election that could be influenced by a small but crucial group across the nation.

Opinion polls are showing a historically tight race, leaving both parties uncertain about the outcome in the seven states considered critical for victory. While some polls show Harris with a slight edge, Trump remains competitive in most battlegrounds. Interestingly, one recent poll indicated Harris may lead in Iowa, a state Trump carried comfortably in the previous two elections, although another survey suggested Trump maintains an advantage there.

Harris is set to rally in East Lansing, Michigan, a city with a significant student population in a state seen as essential for Democratic success. Her visit highlights the Democrats’ hope to secure Michigan’s electoral votes, particularly as the state’s Arab American community of roughly 200,000 has voiced concern about U.S. policy in the Middle East. Many Arab American voters have expressed frustration, feeling that more could be done to help de-escalate the Gaza conflict and reconsider aid to Israel. Trump seized this sentiment during a visit to Dearborn on Friday, pledging to work toward ending wars in the Middle East.

With the final days ticking down, both candidates are focusing on these crucial swing states, attempting to sway voters whose decisions could very well determine the nation’s next leader.
