Inauguration of RJ Sankara Eye Hospital

The Prime Minister will begin his visit by inaugurating the RJ Sankara Eye Hospital at approximately 2 PM. Under the Khelo India scheme and the Smart City Mission, the Prime Minister will inaugurate Phases 2 and 3 of the redevelopment of the Varanasi Sports Complex, valued at ₹210 crore. This ambitious project aims to establish a state-of-the-art sports complex, including a National Centre of Excellence, players’ hostels, and various sports facilities, fostering a robust sports culture in the region.

Tourism Development in Sarnath

Tourism will also be a focal point of the visit, with plans to enhance infrastructure in Sarnath, a key site for Buddhist tourism. The developments will include pedestrian-friendly streets, upgraded sewer lines, and organized vending zones featuring modern vending carts to promote local handicrafts.

Beyond these major projects, the Prime Minister will inaugurate various other initiatives, including tourism development works at Banasur Temple and Gurudham Temple, as well as beautification and redevelopment of local parks.
