🇪🇸 Spain: Woman Arrested After Moroccan Man Dies in Ceuta Stabbing
Ceuta, Spain — September 4, 2026: Spanish police have arrested a woman in Ceuta following the death of a Moroccan man who was allegedly stabbed during a confrontation inside a family residence.

According to reports citing police sources, the incident occurred on Thursday morning at a home in the former Poblado Regulares area of Ceuta. The victim, a Moroccan national believed to be in his 20s or early 30s, was reportedly staying at the residence after arriving there following a family dispute.
Investigators believe an argument developed between the man and the woman, who was reportedly his cousin. During the confrontation, the woman allegedly used a bladed weapon, causing injuries that proved fatal.
Police were called to the property after the incident and began examining the circumstances surrounding the death. Investigators from the Spanish National Police’s judicial and scientific units have been involved in the case as officers work to establish exactly what happened inside the home.
The woman was taken into police custody and remains available to investigators while evidence is collected. Officers have also been working to locate and identify the weapon believed to have been used in the incident.
Authorities are examining witness statements and other evidence from the residence as part of the ongoing homicide investigation. At this stage, investigators have not publicly established a final motive for the confrontation.
The victim’s death comes amid heightened attention on security issues in Ceuta, where authorities are already dealing with significant social and political tensions following the large-scale migration crisis earlier this summer. However, available reports indicate that investigators have not established that the victim was connected to the mass border crossing into Ceuta.
The investigation remains open, and police are expected to determine the precise sequence of events before prosecutors decide on further legal action.
The suspect is presumed innocent unless and until a court establishes guilt.
