Serbia to Host WADA Executive Committee Meeting in Belgrade
BELGRADE — Serbia is preparing to host a major international anti-doping meeting as the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Executive Committee is scheduled to gather in Belgrade on September 10.

Serbian Prime Minister Đuro Macut met WADA President Witold Bańka ahead of the meeting and described the event as an important recognition of Serbia’s role in international sport.
The meeting will bring together senior representatives of WADA to discuss major issues concerning the organisation’s future activities and the global fight against doping.
Macut said hosting the meeting demonstrates Serbia’s commitment to protecting athletes’ health and preserving the integrity of competitive sport.
The Serbian government views the event as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation with WADA and exchange experience on anti-doping policies.
WADA Director General Olivier Niggli and representatives of Serbia’s Olympic Committee also participated in discussions ahead of the meeting.
The gathering is expected to address important developments in international anti-doping efforts and provide an opportunity for participating officials to discuss challenges facing clean sport.
For Serbia, hosting the executive committee meeting also provides greater international visibility for Belgrade as a venue for major sporting and institutional events.
The government said cooperation with international sports organisations remains an important part of Serbia’s broader engagement with the global sporting community.
The September meeting will bring senior anti-doping officials to Belgrade at a time when international sport continues to focus on stronger testing systems, athlete protection and consistent enforcement of anti-doping rules.
Serbian authorities are expected to continue working with WADA and other international organisations to support clean competition and protect athletes from the health risks associated with prohibited substances and methods.
The event therefore combines Serbia’s international sporting role with its commitment to strengthening cooperation on one of the most important integrity issues in modern competitive sport.Serbia, Serbian s
