Revolutionising Education: Ministry of Education Honests National Education Policy 2020’s Fourth Anniversary
With a week-long campaign called “Shiksha Saptah,” meant to revive the education sector, the Ministry of Education is honouring the 4th anniversary of the National Education Policy 2020. With the Vidyanjali and Tithi Bhojan projects, which signal a major turning point in the application of the policy, the seventh day of the campaign centres on community participation in education.
Launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on September 7, 2021, Vidyanjali is a school volunteer management initiative aimed at improving the quality of education by means of community, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and private sector participation. The main goals of the program are to improve educational environments by means of local volunteers’ support and enhance schools, therefore fostering a strong ecology for teachers and students.
Schools all over are urged as part of the program to connect themselves to the Vidyanjali portal and name local volunteers to help. The project seeks to create a strong support structure by combining schools, volunteers, and the community, so improving the learning environment.
Including the names of current volunteers on a “Wall of Fame/Notice Board” and writing letters of thanks to these volunteers, the Department of School Education & Literacy has offered a list of recommended actions for schools. Additionally being planned are community awareness events like rallies, street plays, poster-making, and chart-making on volunteer work.
In line with the objective of the National Education Policy 2020, which is raising community involvement in education, state- and district-level officials are actively contributing to guarantee the success of the campaign. These initiatives seek to establish a cooperative atmosphere whereby the community, volunteers, and educational institutions cooperate to offer instructors and students complete support system.
Between schools and volunteers, the Vidyanjali portal (“link unavailable”) acts as a seamless engagement tool. Using technology, the portal helps schools to link with private sector companies, CSR projects, local volunteers, and CSR activities thereby building a strong network of support.
The 2020 National Education Policy calls for an inclusive, fair, and empowering educational system. The policy’s focus on community involvement and volunteer activity is evidence of its dedication to establish a whole learning environment.
It is abundantly evident as the Ministry of Education marks the fourth anniversary of the National Education Policy 2020 that the policy has revolutionised the field of education. The “Shiksha Saptah” campaign is evidence of the influence of the policy and the government’s determination to establish a world-class educational system.
All things considered, the “Shiksha Saptah” campaign of the Ministry of Education marks a major step towards rejuvenation of the educational field. Emphasising community involvement and volunteer activity, the initiative seeks to foster a cooperative atmosphere supporting schools, instructors, and students themselves. Building on the momentum generated by the National Education Policy 2020 is crucial as the nation advances to guarantee that every student has access to high-quality education and a bright future.
