UN Chief Condemns Escalation in Syria, Urges Respect for Sovereignty and Civilian Protection

In a strongly worded statement shared publicly, Guterres emphasized that all forms of violence targeting civilians are unacceptable and must cease without delay.
“I’m alarmed by continued escalation of violence in Syria and unequivocally condemn all violence against civilians,” the Secretary-General declared, underscoring the urgent need for restraint and accountability.
