Donald Trump has announced his full endorsement for Georgia Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones in his bid to become the next Governor of the state. Highlighting Georgia as a place of personal significance, Trump recalled his “big presidential election win” there on November 5, 2024, just eight months ago.

Trump praised Jones for being one of his earliest supporters, noting that as a member of the Georgia State Assembly, Jones was the first to endorse him for President. Over the years, Jones has been a steadfast ally, actively supporting Trump’s campaigns in 2016, 2020, and 2024.

According to Trump, Jones’s leadership credentials extend beyond politics. A successful businessman and a former SEC Championship-winning Georgia Bulldogs football player, Jones is widely recognized for his resilience and toughness. As Lieutenant Governor, he has demonstrated strong decision-making skills and a commitment to delivering results for the people of Georgia.

In his endorsement, Trump expressed confidence in Jones’s ability to grow the state’s economy, reduce taxes and regulations, support American manufacturing, champion energy independence, secure the southern border, strengthen the military and veterans’ programs, maintain law and order, protect election integrity, and defend the Second Amendment.

“Burt Jones for Governor has my complete and total endorsement – he will never let you down,” Trump declared.

With this endorsement, Jones gains the backing of one of the most influential figures in U.S. politics, setting the stage for a high-profile gubernatorial race in Georgia.
