Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a key session titled “Reviving a Balanced, Shared and Sustainable Economic Growth for All” at the G7 Summit held in Évian, France, where he outlined India’s evolving vision of inclusive and collaborative global development. During his address, Narendra Modi emphasized that India’s domestic growth philosophy is deeply rooted in inclusivity and collective progress, a principle that also shapes its international partnerships. He highlighted that India’s recent G20 Presidency carried the guiding motto of “One Earth, One Family, One Future,” reflecting a civilizational outlook that sees global welfare as interconnected and interdependent rather than fragmented.
The Prime Minister underscored that this approach is not limited to rhetoric but is increasingly being translated into practical global economic frameworks. One such example is the India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC), which has been envisioned as a strategic initiative to strengthen international supply chains, improve trade connectivity, and generate new avenues for investment, employment, and innovation across regions.
By linking Asia, the Middle East, and Europe through an integrated economic framework, IMEC aims to reduce logistical bottlenecks and build more resilient trade networks at a time when the global economy is facing uncertainties and structural shifts. The initiative also reflects a broader attempt to diversify global supply routes and encourage deeper economic interdependence among participating regions.
