Supreme Court Intervenes in Doctors’ Strike Following Kolkata Rape-Murder Incident
In response to the rape and murder case of a doctor at Kolkata’s R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital, the Supreme Court of India stepped in to address the crisis that followed. The court scheduled a further hearing for September 5, 2024, where it will review the progress of the implementation of safety measures and continue monitoring the institutional response to the doctors’ concerns.
