Boudh, Odisha, September 26: The Foundation Day of the Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan was celebrated in Boudh district with a series of academic, creative and competitive activities aimed at providing students with an opportunity to display their abilities beyond the classroom.

As part of the celebrations, 22 competitions were conducted for students in junior and senior categories. Participants from Adarsha Vidyalayas across the district took part enthusiastically in the events and demonstrated their skills, creativity and confidence.

The inaugural programme was attended by Boudh District Collector Bibhuti Bhushan Nayak as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, he encouraged the participating students and highlighted the importance of developing their abilities through constructive activities alongside their regular studies.

The event was presided over by District Education Officer Temlal Dubey. Students participated in different competitions organised under the Foundation Day programme, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and healthy competition among the young participants.

The celebrations concluded with a prize distribution ceremony. Additional District Magistrate Aniruddha Pradhan attended the closing event as the chief guest and presented prizes to students who secured positions in the various competitions.

Several education officials and heads of Adarsha Vidyalayas were present during the programme. They included Additional District Education Officers Chudamani Barik and Bhaskar Lenka, Kantamal Block Education Officer Ashok Ranjan Mali, and Harabhanga Block Education Officer Barun Kumar Pradhan.

Principals of participating Adarsha Vidyalayas, including Sanat Kumar Gadatia of Manipur Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya, Rajkishore Pushti of Boudh Adarsha Vidyalaya and Shantanu Kumar Dash of Kantamal Adarsha Vidyalaya, also attended the programme. District Science Coordinator Jayant Pradhan, along with teachers and students, was among those present.

The Foundation Day programme provided students with a platform to explore their interests, demonstrate their talents and learn the value of participation and healthy competition. The organisers emphasised that such activities can complement classroom learning by helping students develop creativity, confidence, teamwork and a positive competitive attitude.

The celebrations in Boudh thus brought together students, teachers and education officials in an environment focused on recognising young talent and encouraging students to pursue all-round development.
