Robbery Suspect Arrested at Manila Airport Before Flight to Cagayan de Oro
A robbery-hold-up suspect was arrested at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 after authorities received information that he was attempting to leave Manila on a flight to Cagayan de Oro.

The suspect was intercepted by personnel of the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group while preparing to board the flight. The arrest followed intelligence shared by regional police units concerning a robbery incident in Malolos City, Bulacan.
According to the information released by authorities, the alleged robbery occurred in Malolos on October 1. After receiving details about the suspect, NAIA Police Station 3 coordinated with airport security personnel and the airline involved.
Police then carried out an operation at Terminal 3 that resulted in the suspect being taken into custody before he could board the aircraft. Authorities described the operation as involving intelligence coordination, an entrapment effort and a hot-pursuit response.
The incident highlights the role of airport security and police intelligence-sharing in intercepting wanted or suspected offenders who attempt to travel to another part of the country after an alleged crime.
The investigation into the Malolos robbery remains ongoing. Authorities are expected to determine the suspect’s specific involvement in the incident and proceed with the appropriate legal action.
The case also demonstrates how information exchanged between local police units and airport authorities can help prevent suspects from leaving an area while investigations are underway.
