One of the most controversial questions involves the possibility of highly capable AI systems becoming difficult for humans to control. The discussion surrounding advanced AI is ultimately not a simple choice between embracing the technology and rejecting it. Artificial intelligence could deliver major benefits in medicine, science, education, cybersecurity and economic productivity while simultaneously introducing new forms of risk.
