Uttar Pradesh CM Calls for Zero Tolerance Against Criminals, Directs Police to Act Firmly

Lucknow, July 14, 2026: Yogi Adityanath has reiterated his government’s commitment to maintaining law and order, declaring that there is no place for criminals in Uttar Pradesh. Addressing officials, the Chief Minister instructed the police to take strict and decisive action against individuals involved in criminal activities, emphasizing that public safety must remain the administration’s highest priority.
The Chief Minister’s remarks reinforce the state’s policy of adopting a zero-tolerance approach toward organized crime, violence, illegal activities, and repeat offenders. He stressed that law enforcement agencies should act promptly and impartially while ensuring that every action is carried out within the framework of the law.
According to the Chief Minister, a secure environment is essential for economic development, investment, education, and social progress. Effective policing not only protects citizens but also strengthens public confidence in governance and the justice system. He urged police officers to remain vigilant, respond swiftly to complaints, and prevent criminal incidents through proactive policing.
The Uttar Pradesh government has consistently highlighted improvements in policing through the use of modern technology, surveillance systems, digital crime monitoring, forensic investigations, and coordinated intelligence gathering. Officials believe these measures have enhanced the ability of law enforcement agencies to detect crimes, identify offenders, and improve conviction rates.
The Chief Minister also emphasized that innocent citizens, women, children, senior citizens, traders, and vulnerable communities should feel safe in every part of the state. He called upon police personnel to maintain professionalism, transparency, and accountability while performing their duties.
Alongside strict enforcement, the government continues to encourage community participation in maintaining peace and order. Citizens are urged to cooperate with the police by reporting suspicious activities and providing information that can help prevent crime before it occurs.
The latest directive reflects Uttar Pradesh’s continued focus on strengthening internal security and ensuring that criminal elements face prompt legal action. State authorities maintain that consistent enforcement of the law, combined with efficient policing and judicial processes, is essential for creating a safe environment that supports long-term social and economic development.
