ASEAN and South Korea Reaffirm Commitment to Stronger Strategic Partnership at Foreign Ministers’ Meeting
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the Republic of Korea (ROK) have reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation following a high-level meeting held on the sidelines of the 59th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and Related Meetings in Manila, the Philippines.
During the bilateral discussion, Kao Kim Hourn met with Cho Hyun to review the progress of ASEAN–Republic of Korea relations and explore new opportunities under their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP).
Strengthening a Growing Partnership
The meeting reflected the shared determination of ASEAN and South Korea to deepen cooperation across a wide range of sectors, including trade, investment, digital transformation, innovation, education, connectivity, climate action, and sustainable development.
Both sides emphasized that the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership provides a long-term framework for expanding collaboration while responding to evolving regional and global challenges.
