Cyprus: Presidential Residence Opens Its Doors to the Public in Troodos
Cyprus is opening the Presidential Residence in Troodos to the public on Sunday, September 6, 2026, giving visitors an opportunity to see the mountain residence and take part in a cultural programme celebrating Cypriot traditions.

The event, titled “Troodos 3,” is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Presidential Residence in Troodos. The announcement appears on the official website of the Presidency of the Republic of Cyprus.
The initiative combines public access with cultural activities, highlighting the traditions and creative character of the Troodos region. Opening an official presidential venue to the public also provides residents and visitors with a closer connection to an important state institution.
Troodos is one of Cyprus’s best-known mountain areas, recognised for its natural environment, villages and cultural heritage. Events centred on the region can therefore contribute to promoting local traditions and encouraging public participation in cultural activities.
The September 6 programme is part of Cyprus’s broader effort to bring cultural heritage and public institutions closer to citizens. Such initiatives can also support local tourism by encouraging visitors to explore the mountain region and its surrounding communities.
The Presidential Residence has traditionally served as an important state venue, while its location in Troodos gives it an additional connection with the country’s mountain heritage.
The “Troodos 3” event is therefore combining public engagement, cultural expression and access to an official state location in a single programme on September 6.
