Fire Destroys Three Vehicles at Municipal Company in Magenta, Italy
Magenta, Italy: A major overnight fire broke out at the headquarters of a municipal services company in Magenta, near Milan, destroying three vehicles and sending a thick column of smoke over the surrounding area.

The blaze erupted shortly before 4:30 a.m. at the ASM facility on Via Crivelli. Firefighters from several nearby stations were dispatched after flames were reported inside the company’s vehicle area.
Six firefighting vehicles from the Magenta, Corbetta and Rho areas were involved in the emergency response. Crews quickly worked to contain the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the facility.
Three vehicles belonging to the municipal company’s fleet were engulfed by the fire and destroyed. The intense blaze produced a large amount of smoke that was visible from surrounding areas.
Despite the scale of the incident, no injuries or cases of smoke inhalation were reported. Firefighters remained at the site after extinguishing the main flames to carry out cooling and safety operations.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Carabinieri officers from Magenta were called to the scene to examine the circumstances and determine how the blaze started. Investigators are considering the available evidence before reaching any conclusion about whether the fire was accidental or deliberate.
The incident caused concern among nearby residents because the fire occurred during the early morning hours and was accompanied by loud noises and a large column of smoke. Emergency services nevertheless managed to contain the blaze before it could spread beyond the affected section of the facility.
ASM operates municipal services in the Magenta area, making the destruction of three fleet vehicles a significant local incident. Investigators will also assess the extent of property damage and whether the fire affected other equipment or infrastructure at the site.
