India has invited a group of forty top public officers from Sri Lanka for a two-week capacity building programme in a major stride towards enhancing bilateral ties and sharing knowledge in governance and development. Hosted by the National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) in Mussoorie, the initiative seeks to provide participants with the tools and expertise required to apply good governance ideas throughout Sri Lanka.

Director General of NCGG Shri V. Srinivas opened the programme stressing the need of good government in reaching sustainable development. He underlined India’s dedication to openness, responsibility, and citizen-centric government as well as his hope that the initiative would be a great educational tool for the attendees.

Participants will participate in a thorough two-week training course covering a spectrum of subjects including governance reforms, digital transformation, and sustainable development. They will also tour several Indian institutions and venues in order to have practical knowledge and understanding of India’s governance styles.

India’s attempts to improve bilateral relations with Sri Lanka and share its governance and development knowledge centre this programme. Previously training civil personnel from 17 nations, NCGG’s programme represents another turning point in India’s dedication to world collaboration and knowledge exchange.

The initiative is meant to empower participants with the tools required to carry out comparable changes in Sri Lanka and give them a thorough awareness of India’s governance models and best practices. Participants will be able to interact with Indian authorities and professionals as well as gain knowledge from their implementations of governance changes.

India hopes to help Sri Lanka’s attempts to create a more open, responsible, and citizen-centric government by offering its knowledge in development and governance. The initiative shows India’s dedication to world cooperation and knowledge exchange as well as its readiness to assist other nations in their path of growth.
