French President Emmanuel Macron took to social media to share the details of a conversation he held with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. The discussion comes amid increasing regional tensions and humanitarian concerns in Gaza.

Macron emphasized France’s strong commitment to resolving the ongoing crisis, stating that France will use all available means to secure the release of hostages, reinstate a ceasefire, and ensure immediate and unhindered humanitarian access to the people of Gaza.

In his message, Macron stressed the importance of preparing for “the day after” the current conflict ends. He called for the dismantling of Hamas’ military capabilities, the swift return of displaced civilians, and the establishment of a legitimate and effective Palestinian government. He also highlighted the need for structural reform within the Palestinian Authority to support long-term governance and stability.

The French President outlined a clear path toward peace, urging the international community to support a comprehensive political solution. This would include renewed momentum for a two-state solution that guarantees peace, security, and dignity for both Israelis and Palestinians.

Macron concluded with a firm statement of hope: “We are all longing for peace.”

His comments come at a critical time as world leaders seek to calm the ongoing violence and push for a sustainable resolution that can bring lasting stability to the region.
