ISRO Launches Bharatiya Antariksh Hackathon 2025 to Spark Innovation in Space Technology

In a major step toward promoting innovation in space science and geospatial technology, Dr. V. Narayanan, Secretary of the Department of Space (DOS) and Chairman of ISRO, officially launched the Bharatiya Antariksh Hackathon (BAH) 2025. The event aims to engage the brightest minds in India to tackle real-world challenges related to space exploration and satellite-based applications.

Organized by ISRO, the hackathon invites students, professionals, and enthusiasts to form teams of 3 to 4 members and submit their proposals based on 14 curated problem statements focused on geospatial applications and space science.

The last date for submission of proposals is July 9, 2025, offering participants a chance to contribute creative and impactful solutions in the space domain. Selected teams will compete in the Grand Finale, which will be a 30-hour marathon hackathon hosted in Hyderabad on August 7–8, 2025.

This initiative underscores ISRO’s commitment to building a collaborative ecosystem that leverages grassroots innovation. It also aims to nurture young talent by giving them a platform to interact with top scientists, engineers, and experts in the space sector.
