Ranchi Police Ensures Tight Security for Jagannath Rath Yatra 2025
Ranchi, Jharkhand – June 27, 2025: The vibrant city of Ranchi marked the commencement of the revered Jagannath Rath Yatra from Jagannathpur Temple today amid an atmosphere of devotion and celebration. To ensure a safe and peaceful event, the Ranchi Police has rolled out comprehensive and multi-tiered security arrangements across the city.
With thousands of devotees expected to participate, police forces have been strategically deployed along the entire procession route. Quick Response Teams (QRTs) remain on standby to respond promptly to any emergency. The police are also utilizing modern surveillance tools such as CCTV cameras, drones, and elevated watch towers to monitor crowds and maintain vigilance.
Adding to the layers of security, plainclothes officers and uniformed personnel have been stationed throughout sensitive locations. Duty magistrates are working in close coordination with the police to maintain law and order.
A centralized Command Center has been set up at Niladri Bhawan, functioning as the nerve center for monitoring all live security feeds and coordinating field operations. To ease congestion, the traffic police have implemented a revised traffic plan to streamline both pilgrim and local traffic flow during the event.
