In a statement on his social media platform, the President proposed that Crockett and her political allies undergo formal cognitive assessments. He contrasted this with his own recent visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where, according to him, he excelled on a cognitive evaluation conducted as part of a routine physical exam. Trump asserted that his results were unusually high, something he said medical staff rarely witness.
He further argued that members of the progressive faction would perform poorly on such a test, using the suggestion as a political jab aimed at questioning their competence and decision-making abilities.
Rep. Crockett, a Democrat from Texas, has been outspoken on issues such as voting rights, criminal justice reform, and economic equity. Her positions have frequently put her at odds with the President and the Republican leadership.
