Ursula von der Leyen Condemns Russia’s Massive Strike on Ukraine, Vows Stronger European Support
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has sharply condemned Russia after what officials described as one of the largest combined drone and missile attacks on Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war. The overnight assault targeted both government facilities and civilian homes, causing widespread destruction and further inflaming international outrage.
“Mocking Diplomacy, Trampling International Law”
In her response, von der Leyen accused the Kremlin of openly disregarding international norms. “Once again, the Kremlin is mocking diplomacy, trampling international law and killing indiscriminately,” she stated, underscoring Europe’s frustration with Moscow’s escalating aggression.
