French President Emmanuel Macron has strongly denounced Russia’s latest large-scale attack on Ukraine, which saw hundreds of drones and more than a dozen missiles launched overnight. The strikes hit indiscriminately, damaging government buildings and residential neighborhoods, leaving civilians once again bearing the brunt of the violence.

Standing with Ukraine

In his remarks, Macron expressed solidarity with those affected by the bombardment. “My thoughts are with the victims, their loved ones, and with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people,” he said, reaffirming France’s commitment to supporting Kyiv in its struggle for survival and sovereignty.

Russia’s “Logic of War and Terror”

The French leader accused Moscow of further entrenching itself in a destructive path. “Russia is locking itself ever deeper into the logic of war and terror,” Macron stated, underscoring his view that the Kremlin’s strategy is escalating devastation rather than pursuing dialogue.

Commitment to a Lasting Peace

Macron stressed that France, together with European allies and international partners, will continue to back Ukraine both politically and militarily. He emphasized that the ultimate objective remains securing a just and lasting peace, not only for Ukraine but also for the stability of Europe.

As the conflict grinds on, Macron’s comments highlight the dual approach of standing firmly by Ukraine’s side while keeping the vision of peace alive, even amid relentless Russian attacks.
