President Donald Trump has announced the approval of nearly $30 million in federal assistance for the state of Wisconsin to aid recovery efforts following severe storms and flooding that struck in August.

The President said the decision came after discussions with Senator Ron Johnson, who formally requested federal support on behalf of the state. “I just informed Senator Ron Johnson that, based on his request, I am approving $29.8 million dollars for the wonderful State of Wisconsin to help them recover from the major storms and flooding they experienced in August,” Trump stated.

Emphasizing his longstanding political support in the state, Trump pointed to his electoral victories in Wisconsin during the 2016, 2020, and 2024 presidential elections. He added, “It is my honor to deliver big for Wisconsinites!”

The approved funds are expected to be directed toward disaster recovery efforts, including repairing damaged infrastructure, supporting affected families, and restoring essential community services. The allocation comes as many Wisconsin communities continue to rebuild from the widespread flooding that damaged homes, roads, and farmland during the summer.

Senator Johnson has welcomed the federal support, noting that the assistance will help communities recover more quickly and provide relief to families and businesses that have faced significant losses.

The funding package highlights the ongoing collaboration between state leaders and the federal government in responding to natural disasters, while also underscoring the political importance of Wisconsin, a state that has played a pivotal role in recent national elections.
