Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a high-level meeting with U.S. Secretary of the Army Daniel Driscoll, focusing on pathways toward a sustainable peace and renewed diplomatic efforts. The conversation centered on sequencing potential negotiations, shaping dialogue formats, and establishing practical steps that both Kyiv and Washington can take to advance a comprehensive plan to end the ongoing war.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine and the United States will now begin joint work on detailed provisions of a peace framework. He emphasized that Kyiv is prepared for “constructive, honest and swift” engagement, noting that diplomacy must be matched with clarity and coordination to be effective.

During the meeting, Zelenskyy also briefed Secretary Driscoll on the recent Russian strike in Ternopil, where a Kh-101 missile hit a residential building. He underscored that the missile—manufactured in 2025—contained 175 foreign components that allegedly entered Russia through sanctions-evading supply chains. Zelenskyy shared specific information on manufacturers, component origins, and the companies involved, and urged the United States to help tighten restrictions on such loopholes.

The Ukrainian leader expressed appreciation for ongoing U.S. engagement, including efforts by President Trump’s administration to support stability in Europe. He reiterated that Ukraine’s resilience rests on three pillars: the bravery of its people, internal unity, and continued international assistance.

Zelenskyy concluded by reaffirming Ukraine’s determination to strengthen all three elements as the country works toward peace and security. “Glory to Ukraine!” he said, signaling the nation’s resolve in the face of continued challenges.
