U.S. President Donald Trump has launched a fierce attack on Minnesota’s political leadership following a violent incident during a federal immigration enforcement operation, accusing state and city officials of deliberately undermining law enforcement and enabling large-scale financial misconduct.

Reacting to images of a firearm allegedly recovered from the scene — described as loaded and accompanied by additional magazines — Trump questioned why local police were absent during the operation. He argued that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers were forced to defend themselves without local support, a situation he called both dangerous and unacceptable.

According to the President, local authorities were instructed not to assist federal agents, a decision he blamed on the Minneapolis mayor and the Minnesota governor. Trump claimed this withdrawal of cooperation left ICE officers exposed during a high-risk mission, raising serious concerns about public safety and inter-agency coordination.

Beyond the security lapse, Trump escalated his criticism by alleging widespread financial fraud within Minnesota. He claimed that billions of dollars in public funds have disappeared and framed the situation as one of the largest cases of monetary theft in state history. Comparing it to a major bank robbery, he asserted that ongoing political turmoil is being used to distract the public from uncovering the missing funds.

Trump also raised questions about Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, publicly asking how she came to possess tens of millions of dollars — a claim that has not been substantiated by official financial disclosures. He insisted that federal authorities are present in Minnesota not only to enforce immigration laws but also to investigate alleged corruption and recover stolen taxpayer money.

The President rejected accusations against ICE, stating that federal agents have removed thousands of undocumented individuals with criminal records from the state. He argued that without these arrests, Minnesota would be facing far greater violence and instability than it is currently experiencing.

In some of his strongest language, Trump accused state and city leaders of inflaming tensions through what he described as reckless rhetoric, suggesting that their actions amount to encouraging civil unrest rather than maintaining law and order.

Calling on officials to stop obstructing federal operations, Trump concluded by demanding full cooperation with ICE and promised that those responsible for financial crimes would face prosecution. He emphasized that accountability, enforcement, and the recovery of public funds remain central priorities of his administration.
