Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Visit Kerala and Tamil Nadu on March 11 🇮🇳

Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, is scheduled to visit Kerala and Tamil Nadu on March 11, 2026, where he will launch and inaugurate several major infrastructure and development initiatives aimed at boosting economic growth and connectivity in the southern states.
Major Projects in Kerala
In Ernakulam, the Prime Minister will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, and lay the foundation stones for multiple projects valued at around ₹10,800 crore. These initiatives span infrastructure, energy, and transportation sectors, reflecting the government’s focus on strengthening regional development.
One of the key highlights of the visit will be the foundation stone laying for a new polypropylene unit at the Kochi Refinery, operated by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited. The project is expected to enhance petrochemical production capacity and support industrial growth in the region.
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate two major highway developments:
- Six-laning of the Thalapady–Chengala section of NH-66
- Six-laning of the Kozhikode Bypass from Vengalam to Ramanattukara
These road projects are designed to improve connectivity, reduce travel time, and boost trade and tourism along the busy coastal corridor.
Development Projects in Tamil Nadu
Later in the day, the Prime Minister will visit Tiruchirappalli, where he will launch and dedicate development projects worth around ₹5,650 crore. These initiatives aim to strengthen infrastructure, enhance public services, and support economic expansion across the state.
