Bangladesh Police Arrest Suspect in Mirpur Health Centre Attack
Bangladesh police have arrested another suspect in connection with the attack, vandalism and looting of the Radda MCH-FP Centre in Mirpur, Dhaka.

The Detective Branch arrested Sajjad Hossain Mishu Mullah during an operation in the Mirpur area. Police said the suspect was allegedly directly involved in the attack on the health facility.
The incident involved a large group of people who allegedly entered the health centre, damaged property and looted items before several structures at the facility were subsequently demolished. The attack prompted a wider police investigation and raised questions about security around the medical facility.
According to investigators, Mishu Mullah is a vice-president of the Bangladesh Nationalist Cyber User Dal and had previously been associated with the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal. Police said legal proceedings against him are now underway.
His arrest is part of a broader investigation into the incident. Authorities have already detained a number of people suspected of participating in the attack, while investigators continue examining the roles of additional individuals.
Police have said the investigation will continue until those believed to have been involved are identified and brought into the legal process. Investigators are also examining available evidence to determine the extent of each suspect’s involvement.
The case has attracted attention because of allegations that politically connected individuals may have been linked to the attack. Police have said that any person found to have participated in the incident will face legal action regardless of their background or affiliations.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the destruction and looting of the health centre as the case progresses.
