Early Thursday, Russian drones targeted Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi district, close to the city center, causing extensive damage to a residential apartment and setting several garages ablaze. According to Kyiv’s military administration head, Serhiy Popko, the attack occurred just after midnight, activating the capital’s air defense systems.

While no injuries were reported, the strikes left an apartment severely damaged and caused fires in nearby garages, adding to the ongoing tension and disruption experienced by residents. Kyiv’s defenses have been actively intercepting drone and missile attacks, but incidents like this highlight the continued vulnerability of civilian areas.

This latest assault on Kyiv marks a continuation of drone strikes across Ukraine, intensifying concerns over the safety of residents and the resilience of infrastructure in urban centers. Local authorities are closely monitoring the situation and reinforcing air defense efforts to mitigate further risks in the capital.
