Fire Breaks Out in Passenger Train in Rohtak, Sparks Panic Among Passengers
A fire broke out in a passenger train near Rohtak, Haryana, on Monday around 5 PM, causing panic among passengers. The train, en route from Jind to Delhi, was brought to an emergency halt when a passenger pulled the emergency chain. Initial reports suggest the fire was caused by firecrackers stored in one of the compartments, resulting in injuries to 4-5 individuals.
Upon receiving the alert, railway police and the Superintendent of Police (SP) from Rohtak rushed to the scene to assess the situation and ensure safety.
According to sources, the fire erupted between Rohtak and Sampla stations, leading to chaos in the affected compartment. Passengers, hearing loud cries, quickly reacted as someone pulled the emergency chain, bringing the train to a stop. As soon as the train halted, passengers safely disembarked. Those impacted were provided assistance, and the remaining passengers were transferred to another train to continue their journey to Delhi.
