In light of the growing conflict involving Iran and Israel, France has made a clear appeal for restraint from all sides. Expressing alarm over recent military developments, the French government has stressed the importance of avoiding further confrontation in the already fragile West Asian region.

France, maintaining its opposition to nuclear proliferation, has consistently criticized Iran’s atomic ambitions. However, the French leadership believes that lasting security in the region can only be achieved through mutual dialogue and cooperation—not violence.

To address the current crisis, French officials held a top-level national security meeting to discuss possible scenarios and ensure that citizens, diplomats, and defense personnel stationed abroad are adequately protected. Additional security layers are also being reviewed at home.

In pursuit of diplomatic coordination, the French President held phone discussions with regional and global leaders, including heads of state from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, Qatar, Germany, the UK, and the United States. These conversations aimed to find a united path forward that prioritizes calm over conflict.

France reaffirmed its commitment to international peace efforts, stating that collective security, regional balance, and humanitarian responsibility must guide every nation’s actions during this volatile time.
