New Delhi, June 21, 2025 – In a remarkable overnight operation, the Indian Air Force (IAF) showcased its unwavering commitment to service beyond duty by airlifting life-saving organs from Pune to Delhi. In coordination with the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), the IAF successfully transported a liver and two kidneys from Command Hospital Pune to the Army Hospital (Research & Referral) in New Delhi.

The organs were donated by a brain-dead dependent of a soldier, reflecting the ultimate act of altruism and sacrifice. These vital organs are now set to bring renewed hope and life to multiple patients in need of critical transplants.

Executed with precision and urgency, this mission highlights the Indian Air Force’s unmatched capability in conducting complex medical transport under time-sensitive conditions. The joint operation not only exemplifies the synergy between AFMS and IAF but also underlines the importance of organ donation in saving lives.

The mission received widespread appreciation on social media, resonating with hashtags such as #ServiceBeyondSelf, #OrganDonation, #SavingLives, and #HarKaamDeshKeNaam—a reminder that even in moments of tragedy, the spirit of giving can triumph.

By ensuring swift logistics for medical emergencies, the Indian Air Force once again proves that its dedication goes far beyond the battlefield—touching lives, giving hope, and standing as a symbol of national pride and humanity.
