Meloni Condemns Violent No TAV Protests in Val di Susa: Calls for Stricter Enforcement Under New Security Decree

In a firm statement shared via social media, Meloni detailed how organized groups opposed to the high-speed rail project (TAV) occupied the Turin-Bardonecchia highway, launched attacks on construction sites, and hurled stones and smoke bombs at law enforcement.
Meloni labeled these actions as “urban guerrilla tactics” and emphasized that they have no place in a democratic society. “These acts have nothing to do with the legitimate expression of dissent,” she wrote, adding that such behavior would not be tolerated under her government.
