In a fiery statement, President Donald Trump has publicly criticized Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri for joining forces with Democrats to block a Republican-backed review of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s stock trading activities spanning the past 25 years. The review, originally sponsored by Senator Rick Scott and supported by nearly all other Republicans, was intended to scrutinize Pelosi’s financial dealings during her time in office.

According to President Trump, the information tied to the review was suspiciously released just moments before the scheduled vote, an act he described as “very much like sabotage.” He suggested that Democrats are targeting him due to his record of “tremendous achievements and success” and are allegedly using Senator Hawley as a political pawn to undermine Republican efforts.

Trump expressed particular dismay over Hawley’s decision to support a bill that he claims aligns closely with Pelosi’s personal interests. He noted the irony in Hawley backing legislation that Pelosi is “in absolute love with,” stating that it benefits her and her husband significantly while harming the broader national interest.

Highlighting his personal role in Hawley’s political rise, Trump reminded his audience that he supported Hawley’s Senate campaigns and helped him win election twice. He expressed disappointment that Hawley would, in his view, betray the core values of the Republican Party by aligning with the opposition on such a critical issue.

Calling Hawley a “second-tier senator,” Trump warned that real Republicans would not tolerate actions that target their own leader, especially someone who has delivered “unprecedented success” to the nation.

The statement signals rising tensions within the Republican Party and underscores President Trump’s firm stance on intra-party loyalty as the political landscape intensifies ahead of upcoming elections.
